Not sure why our players were being slapped and having fans getting in their face. We didn't put Everton in that position!

I don’t think we’re going to agree on this one mate. There is no animosity between either the clubs or PV and Everton, why should he assume someone is going to get in his face and start shouting at him when you’ve just won the game? Bizarre behaviour

I'll spark you both out if you want some?

Sorry to hear that if that happened mate.

Uncalled for and not acceptable by any stretch.

Unless it was Zaha cos he looks like he needs a good slap the little wind up merchant.

Only joking and seriously, uncalled for if any of your players were slapped.

not really, lets get real here.

if players want to gamble and wander around thousands of opposing fans, unescorted, rather than get the hell out of there under steward protection, they have to take some responsibility for that.

Well if I'm on that pitch, the last thing on my mind would be wanting to slap a Palace player.

I would have assumed Everton should have had such a thing in place and told the Palace players to go to the normal tunnel entrance

It was poor behavior from one of our fans. We just won, celebrate without being a [Poor language removed]. Palace players were already walking toward their changing rooms, PV would feel he should walk with them under such circumstances before waiting to be being escorted, which didn't happen. Security should have been all over him and his staff they were under more threat than our players. Him reacting like he did, good, no, understandable yes. However, unless something was said by said [Poor language removed] as he walked walked away to push him over the line; PV would probably feel he controlled himself to that point and should have let it go in retrospect. That said wasn't a circumstance he created it was the [Poor language removed].

thats you personally mate, and tbf neither would I.

However there were thousands out there. I wouldnt take my 'life into my hands' and just stroll around as an opposing player. We've all seen players steam towards the dressing room after a pitch invasion, they do not need to be 'told' where to go, they arent blind. And neither are they under some kind of 'safeguarding' protocol, this isnt a kindergarten.

Viera in particular opted for the scenic route - screw him.

The fan behaved like a moron. Incredibly poor behaviour towards another person. Football banning order imo.

PV behaved like a moron. If I was at work and kicked someone who had verbally abused me I would be sacked, no question.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a racist / personal thing that pushed him over the edge. Over years of being in the PL , and especially at places like Spurs & Man U, Viera must have a thick skin and be used to abuse on the pitch. It's a shame it happens, but from understanding it's the worst 'crossing the line' abuse that pushes them over the edge.

Seeing this whole pitch invasion I've got really mixed feelings.
Of course it's worth going crazy celebrating that we escaped relegation. We should NOT be celebrating it, but after such a horrible season at least it feels good. We should be celebrating getting in Europe and winning stuff, and we'll get abuse for celebrating 16th place, when the other lot win 2-4 cups .
On the other hand, I'm surprised that players were not escorted or looked after, and even though our fans are generally great, there's always potential for an idiot, and even our players who have not always been loved could have been under threat. Luckily most people don't repeat in real life what they say behind the safety of their phones & keyboards!

You do realise the players are meant to be on the pitch and the fans are not. Furthermore, to get to the changing rooms, Palace players and staff had to cross the pitch. This is a ludicrous take.
