Fonesca - why the excitement around this?
What has the guy achieved / what qualities does he have that make people think he'd even be on a level with any of Moyes, Martinez, Koeman or Allardyce? Let alone a genuine step up in management quality like an Ancelotti, Hiddink, Benitez etc - those who've been there and done it in the big leagues. The biggest clubs this guy has managed have been in Portugal and Ukraine - no comparison to the prem?

Ditto - it would be really helpful if you could explain what's so great about Fonseca? What does he have that will take us forward?
I can’t wait for this fella to fail so the lack of presence on this forum will be hilarious

How can you compare them? One is a manager in Ukraine the other one is a proven premiere league manager
Thanks - that's good insight and helps explain the interest - still a risk though. He could be the next Mourinho - he could be the next Villas Boas??Name one manager who was won league title consistently in the 'serious leagues' that would even consider taking charge here?
Fonseca has a philosophy, one that is current and progressive. Demonstrated how adaptable and flamboyant his teams can be in the Champions League this season beating Man City along the way. To reach the knockout rounds with a Ukranian side - whom can't play in their home stadium - is fantastic. He won the treble for Shakhtar, which may not look as shiny due to the level of competition in Ukraine but it's still some achievement.
pfft... not like a Ukranian team could ever beat the likes of Everton...How can you compare them? One is a manager in Ukraine the other one is a proven premiere league manager
