A decisive person would have issued an ultimatum to Simeone Silva Fonseca and then if the answer was no, gone to Allardyce weeks ago.

Problem is we have a titular DoF mate and he wants Allardyce for his very own distinct reasons, thus any other choice has to come from one of the others.

Seems like Walsh suggested Allardyce, and after that he basically has sulked and won't vary from his suggestion.

Where have we seen that type of behaviour before, oh yeah the 'striker' search.

Half of me suspects he is grossly incompetent, the other half is thinking he absolutely torpedoed the summer to get his old team back together again and skim as much out this club as possible

He will be on buttons at Shaktar mate, he has stated he wants to work in the premier league as of this October, he is managing in a war torn Ukraine - a 3rd rate league, and Shahktar will sell any asset for a decent price as they have always shown.

so no, IF we wanted him we could get him and get him relatively straight forwardly. and he is over half way through his three year contract having won them the league and having them top again

Alan Myers said he's been interviewed for what it's worth. Personally I think it's just Sky's attempt at keeping the market open that little bit longer to get those last few bets down on new names. Allardyce has probably already signed and they are filming his reveal video as i type.

Hope he keeps his clothes on and does not reveal too much.

He's currently plying his trade in a war zone. he and his team have to fly thousands of miles a season playing league matches as Ukraine is so big (and hes sick of it). He publically stated that its his dream to manage in England. The Ukraine winter break starts in a week or so - he wants out.

Oh and he's a much better coach than Silva.

I also dont get the rationale of chasing someone like Silva and his coaching style and then bouncing onto Allardyce as second choice. There is no rhyme or reason to it, they are poles apart. -It's mind-boggling to think just how clueless Moshiri and our board are.

Get Fonsca in now FFS!
