I’d take him too, but it’s a total roll of the dice in all honesty.

It’s this and nothing else.

We will either get lucky with the next choice of manager or not.

There is no silver bullet candidate that is available and willing, and that everyone agrees would be the best fit.

We’re taking a punt, let’s hope at least it’s an informed and educated one.

Exactly. Koeman looked a safe bet.

It’s not just about the manager though. Shakhtar were an established force in their league (essentially two teams, them and Dynamo Kiev). They’ve had a very successful transfer strategy established for decades as well- buy South American talent and sell for profit. They’ve got a great reputation for that. Our infrastructure is nowhere near as established or successful.

The guy has done a good job. I would argue though that he hasn’t done much more than you’d expect of him. Shakhtar regularly progress through the group stages of the champions league, he didn’t do anything unusual there. He also didn’t have a great time at Porto either. He’s not the finished article IMO.
Name me a 'finished article' who'd manage Everton currently mate.

@MrGrumpy defend your statement
vault me.

with this board still conducting business , we will not be getting in ANYONE even half high profile.

we have steve walsh and sam allardyce.

that is there limit.

if Brands does turn up, it will be alongside Walsh, as he is going nowhere. if you thought this season was shambolic, we only have more of it to come under Moshiri/kenwright

i'm not in the know, i think Brands will come in for definite, as for Fonseca, hopefully he come, but we have to wait and see

I do niot have any faith whatsoever in the Moshiri/Kenwright partnership.

they both want different things and we are caught in the middle of their 'power struggle' if you will.

why the hell Kenwright is still here is beyond me. why did Moshri line his pockets and then retain the worst chairman in the clubs history?

than in itself speaks volumes about Moshiri... he's about as ruthless as a breadcrumb

Fonseca is NOT coming nor is Brands
 Don’t tell @Bungle that, he’s already ordered this.......

why do you lot get suckered into this media BS.

there is no way on gods green earth that one of the highest profile young managers in Europe is going to end up here at Everton.

we are a poison chalice with a completely inept board who can not get deals over the line.

this is the board that left Koeman high and dry without a striker or left back last summer.
