TBF he gets guaranteed CL football at Shakthar, at the business end of the competition as well. Coming to us or West Ham would be a step down - would we be even able to offer him better wages, I doubt it?

Paulo Fonseca gave priority to the continuity in Shakhtar at the expense of a possible move to West Ham, with which he met on Monday in London. I think the fact that he beat man city in the champions league shows that he is a manager capable of beating the big teams which is a manager I want.

I don't want another season of beating the bottom 10 teams but not competing against the top 10.
