Long may the splinters invade your arse and the tidal wave of indifference speed you on your way.I aim to say much without saying too much at all really. That sort of not arsed middle ground is where a lot of Evertonians dwell. Catch that wave.
i think the majority of our fans would like to think Martinez has a long term plan but we all know the short term problem will be keeping hold of our best players. If he can't do that then he will be rebuilding until he takes us somewhere else and preferably not down. This may not necessarily be his fault but money, ambition and the fact that we can't compete without our best players will eventually be the be allNice read Chico.
I think people are overreacting a bit about our current situation, we are 6 points behind 5th place and nobody had a problem with Bobby when we got 5th 2 years ago, there is still 18 games left in this season. And don't forget we're in a cup semi-final too. This season could've been better but it's not a disaster by any means.
There is just one thing that causes frustration when it comes to Bobby for me, and it's his refusal to drop players (obviously Howard, Barry last season, McCarthy at the early stages of this season, Kone now) when they're going through a patch of bad form if he thinks they are important to our team (Or just his favorites). If he can prove to be less stubborn when it come to this issue then the future can be bright.
He basically used Moyes' team in his first season with an amazing foray into the loan market, but Martinez is building his own team now. Osman was a regular starter two years ago, just like Distin, Mirallas or Pienaar were.
We're rebuilding and if everything goes our way we will be a threat to this league again, we have a squad full of potential, but potential comes with mistakes and it's normal to be frustrated with them but we simply have to be patient, there is no other way for Everton.
And if you think we are not progressing then i can only suggest refreshing your memory on the events of the early 2015.
You boo a player when he's slacking
You possibly boo a player who can't complete a pass
You might boo a player who misses 3 sitters in a row
You should never boo a player who puts on a show of advanced skill, while under pressure from the opposition. Was he foolhardy...nah. He was confident! He was frustrated with the reaction; he should of received cheers not boos.
I was watching on the tube. When Stones was doing his thing, I was watching him, not the fans. Whatever they were doing, pissed him off, substitute whatever they were doing for "boo", and let's continue the discussion. He wasn't booed.
1. you've obviously not read this site for the last 2 years if you think they don't.Problem is fans to an extent have turned on Distin, Mirallas, Howard and Stones to different extremes (soon to be Mori and Baines to that list).
Why can't people focus their attention to the bloke that organises the team/tactics.
