Hope he'll lift some trophy for us. One could question his leadership abilities, but he's a great servant of Everton Football Club and a very good centre back. Deserve to win something in his career.

That's what frustrates me most the fact we have players like Baines, Jags, Howard etc. Who have been loyal servants to the club for years but will probably end their careers without a medal. Would love a league or FA cup win this season wish we took them seriously.

Still boss.
Always has been. One of the most effective, consistent Everton players I'd had the pleasure to watch over the years. We won't realise how important he is until he's not there.

It was laughable at him being wrote off at the beginning of last season by the usual suspects. His positioning and ace defending will still be there even when his pace goes.

The only poor thing for him is that he's played in an Everton team without winning anything, still time to put that right.

The Singapore trophy would be a good start!

He appears to have come back in confident form - seemed to want to get forward quite a bit vs Stoke, made a great last minute tackle and that was a superb penalty. Hope it continues as he's one of my favourite players.

He's a Keown type defender, and I was gutted when we sold him, we managed to make up for it with Jagielka though.

A quiet Everton captain but a fine one. And that penalty at Wembley in 2009 will live long as a defender who stepped up for the important kick.
