He's been a top player for us over the years, very dodgy when he was first signed but settled in and turned out great performances, but time has caught up with him, ship him out no sentiment from me been paid huge amounts too do his job not going it now.

,

He's quickly becoming a pariah and it's a shame, he's been be a brilliant player over the years and I don't want to see his time here end on bad terms with the supporters like Howard and Neville.
Clearly Jagielka was at fault for the penalty yesterday and unfortunately has looked extremely shaky recently, so it's fair to question his position.

Yet as you rightly mention, he's becoming (or become) a pariah for a part of our fan base who seem to quickly forget his fantastic service.

No way does it mean that his position should be unquestionable, and personally I think he shouldn't be starting, but a level of respect is needed.

Few papers saying Galloway's loan deal could be cancelled by mutual consent. Need him back don't we ?
A youngster who can't get a game with WBA isn't really the answer. At the beginning of the season I thought Holgate would be playing a bigger part in the team. But RK must not have confidence in him yet.

I absolutely love the bloke - a lot on here will know ive mentioned more than once in the past that he's been massively underrated by everyone, including Evertonians. But the fella looks finished & he needs taking out of the firing line. Tim Cahill was finished but Moyes kept playing him & fans turned, same happened with Howard, Jagielka doesnt deserve the same to happen to him.

yeah, that's fair enough mate.
To continue to play Jagielka is not fair to anyone; his team, the supporters, or (possibly most important), to him.

There is only one question to this debate "Is he good enough ?"
Patently obvious he isnt , been fantastic (mostly) for us but isnt going to turn the clock back any time soon.
Good enough ?

Effectively this. Age catches up with everyone and he is 34 after all. He's also playing in the most competitive league in the world. I'm not saying he is no longer good enough for the league, but I am saying he is no longer good enough for a team with ambitions to be part of the elite in that league.

He's been a great and loyal servant. Could have left us for Arsenal when at his peak but he chose to stay which is a great credit to him. He doesn't deserve the stick that will inevitably come his way if this poor form continues, which I think it will.

He could do a job with Moyes at Sunderland and would wish him well there if that happens.
