Jags does that sort of rebuke more often with a look of disdain, surprise and sorrow which personally I'd find far more effective as a kick up the arse than a public tirade.

Mate if I had a daughter I would be getting her lipo , implants and the lot and getting her as close to stones as possible..... The thought of my grandsons having any of stones DNA and possible footballing ability is worth more than the respect of any child I will have...

A big cash signing like Funes Mori - and being a left sided CB - is going to place pressure on Jagielka to focus 100% of the time. I think that's what we're seeing and will continue to see. If he stumbles - as he usually does in a season for an extended period - he'll be out of the team. It's good competition now for places, exactly what we needed.

Jagielka is the captain and has been our most consistent player over the last 12 months. He's not going to be dropped. Funes Mori won't get in the side unless someone gets injured. Stones and jagielka have just been too good.

If the first 6 games plus cup are anything to go by , the player of the season vote could be very interesting this year. Jags ,stonesy and ross have been absolutely faultless so far and howard has been great this season also.
