Yeah but that's not the point, he's the captain and when he does interviews he doesn't look at the camera or swear at other players on the pitch....
 
There couldn´t be a better mentor for our youngsters and there couldn´t be a better captain for the team. People and the media can talk about Terry, Kompany, Smalling, Zouma and so on, but there is no better defender in the league than Phil Jagielka! Even if I repeat myself, I love him for his behaviour on and off the pitch. He´s a warrior and he would throw every part of his body in a ball to block a shoot or prevent a goal, someone says he has a "only over my dead body" attitude and thats so true. I really hope we will win a trophy and he could get upstairs in wembley to lift it, he deserved it!
 
This period if nothing else has underlined his importance to our team as a leader of men.
Gets on with the task ahead always communicating calmly and encouraging those around him , leading from the front and putting his body on the line. He's marshaled an inexperienced back line to be one of the best in the league which really has been fantastic to see.
We wouldn't have gotten the results we have so far without him, simple as that.

It's something he does from time to time,rather than looking at where his man is,he should keep his head up and attack the ball.
 


You can't stress enough how well he's playing at the moment.

Lot of pressure on his shoulders with the back 4 we've got and it hasn't affected his game.
