Not sure why so many people have written him off. He was more than serviceable towards year end. Can’t get rid of every fossil and always replace with some bright ray of sunshine. If we are to challenge for champions league, particularly via Europe – he will play an integral part of that with his experience and leadership. Ideally he won’t be starting in the BPL but would be fantastic in Europe.
