The only place I want Baines is on the bench next season. Offers nothing going gorward, from set pieces, has lost his pace and isn't the best defender either.
Nowhere near the level he was at 3-4 seasons ago, if we want to move up the table the likes of him and Williams have to be squad players.

Has been a very very good player for us. Shouldn't have been made captain but as a CB he's been fantastic seeing offmist challengers to his place season after season even after suffering an ACL. Before his injury he was one of the best in the prem without doubt.

Imagine Baines as captain. He let Mirallas make a mug of him by taking the ball away from him as our regular penalty-taker.
Not to mention he shouldn't be a guaranteed starter next year.

I think baines would be a terrible choice as full time captain , he just doesn't strike me as a leader .
Haha what, Baines absolutely cannot be captain, he doesn't even have the plums to take a penalty off someone despite being designated penalty taker. I love him but you shouldn't just give the captaincy to the oldest player in the team at that point just because they've been around a while, that seems to be a commonly held belief.

Watch him throughout the games he's always moving the players around encouraging and barking orders via the bench....as for this apparent lack of bottle....I can't even begin to make sense of that
You cannot be suggesting he has leadership qualities mate. You picked him because he's been at the club for longer than anyone else, it's ok mate,we understand. No ones going to judge here.
