Problem is a lot of them are being required to play LB/RB.

Once Baines is back and assuming Coleman can stay fit, then we'll be fine. Though the problems caused by having to start a new CB pairing every other game shouldn't be ignored. CBs rarely "just slot in" and need a bit of time to develop an understanding with the players around them.

For example I noticed some poor communication between Stones and Funes Mori yesterday when the latter rushed across to Stones's side of the pitch to clear the danger. They both went for the same ball and if RFM had missed we'd have had no one in the middle. Thankfully he won the ball, like.

agreed .. that's for Martinez to instill the understanding and discipline in them during training.

Under Moyes, the defence had a system under which the likes of Duffy, Heitinga, Hibbert and others slipped in and out (relatively) seamlessly, if Martinez and his coaching staff are unable to do this then we must question if we're progressing as a club or being stifled by our coaching staff / Manager.

The referree has got a lot to answer for here. The whistle was blown inexcusable late after galloway was fouled.

To protect the safety of the players he must not allow another fifty fifty challenge to happen as he is always blowing the whistle. The is never going to be any advantage for the defending team there.

We should be given consideble compensation from the fa. As we have lost our captain.

If he's injured for a long time we should take the opportunity to appoint a proper vice captain who can wear the armband while he's away and become captain after he retires.

Martinez says he's out for 8 or 9 weeks.

So add a few more onto that and it'll probably be after the new year.

Bloody hell. Having absolutely no luck with injuries, are we?

Not wishing an injury on anyone but it's never Howard or Naismith, is it? It's always a key player. Just waiting from Rom to do his hamstring now....

Could be worse, could be Lukaku or Barkley or Stones. Funes will be just as good as Jagielka and now has his chance to cement his position in the starting XI.

Genuinely excited to see Coleman, Stones, Funes and Baines within the next two weeks.

Shame the armband will go to our worst player in the meantime, unless Martinez decides to give it to Barry.
