again, we watched Fabian Delph - bamboozled by socks kick the ball out of play because he thought "why not try one of them there fancy no look passes". If (and it's a massive if) Carlo wants Coutinho then I'm all in. We've seen enough from James to know what genuine quality can bring to this side. All that said, i'm pretty sure it's made up bs.

So you'd have an anchor of Doucoure/Allan (and we'd need another as Gbamin isn't happening), with a three of James-Coutinho-Richarlison and DCL up front.

So we'd need a midfield cover option in the mould of Gana, a winger like Saint-Maximin, a striker because King isn't happening and a right back like Aarons in the summer, in addition to Coutinho. Can't see all that happening.

I like the system, but not the back up. I think we need better than gana, someone who’s better on the ball. And I’m not a fan of saint maximin. Has pace and a few tricks, but end product is average.

Also, forgot about Kean completely, will be £40m-ish, or will be the striker.

I wouldn't sell Mina, I'd be binning off Keane instead every single time.

With Mina we either have to give him a new contract or sell him.

Given the fact that he gets injured dancing celebrating goals we should move him on.
 
Only reason I could see this being anywhere near possible is generally down to the fact that Walcott, Bernard, Tosun, Delph (hopefully) are off the wage books.

Almost £400k a week saved here.

Tosun is injured long-term so wont be bought by anyone, and has another year on his contract.

We need depth, we need quality. If you don't think he's good enough, fair enough but a 28 year old Brazilian international who had performed at a high level in the premier league for around £30million makes sense to me

I'm not forgetting we need a squad. Quite the opposite actually, i'm wondering how we're going to afford to pay £35m and £150k a week for someone to 'swap in and out' and buy the 4 or 5 other players we need. I'm also wondering how happy Coutinho is going to be to swap Barcelona's bench for Everton's. With the best will in the world, being rotated at Barcelona, Bayern, Real etc is one thing, but at Everton it's another. I can't see James or him being too happy at being benched while Tom Davies and and Fabien Delph are having their own private competition to see which one of them can put the most passes straight out of play.
