We all thought we paid 25mil for james Rodriguez, turned out it was a free yeah big wages but still good deal. If we can get a good deal then I’m in, but I still have doubts especially with us having older players in the team.

Coutinho was a 1 in 7 player in a Liverpool side containing Sterling, Suarez, Gerrard and a Sturbridge that sold his soul to the devil himself to be Ronaldo 9 for a season. He would show up miles less than that for us. In that 1 in 7 game he would score an absolute worldie which looked good on MotD meaning the UK media and our questionable pundits went mad for him. No PL fanbase other than Liverpool’s thought he was anywhere near as good as he was made out to be.
He is the absolute worst signing pound for pound in footballing history and a big play in Barcelona’s downfall. Let’s not forget that Liverpool also became exponentially better without him. He’s bad juju and we won’t be signing him thank the lord.

Good player, would be way better than any of our other attacking mid options (outside of James obviously) but we should be focussing on a top box to box midfielder who breaks up the play and carries the ball forward, a right back and a finisher imo

I would guess there are managers all over Europe who would love to sign him but the overall cost of the deal could be prohibitive.

He looked really good when playing for Liverpool but could repeat that at Barcelona. Players can look better than they are when the team they are in is playing well and being successful. We don't need to throw another 30 million plus a huge wage on a player that looked really good 2 or three years ago in the hope he can regain that level of performance. We've collected too many players over the last few seasons that have been next to impossible to off load.
