There seem to be a few on Twitter who hold it against him and I'd expect scattered boos if not tomorrow then at the Chelsea match.

His reasons for leaving are simple. The club told him we couldn't pay him what he wanted (60k) because we had a wage structure we couldn't break for anyone. We then gave Arteta 5 years of 75k a week. You can only imagine what that would do to anyone in any job, watching someone get 25% more than you were told wasn't affordable.

Whatever the case, we've missed him massively and he's back now. He gave us 100% right until he left and never said a bad word against us after he did so.

Welcome back.

Like your ex girlfriend who dumped you for your flash London mate—look who's come crawling back a year later.

Damn though, she looks fine. And you've been going with some right munters.

(not criticising anyone. Don't hate Pienaar. Just a little pissed with the way he orchestrated his move. Left a sour taste in my mouth. He'll probably work his way back into my heart. The first through ball of the season would probably do it.)

I didn't have a problem with him leaving. I had a problem with him bottling out of the derby and turning his back on the club and its fans.

I welcome him back as he works well with Baines (who makes Pienaar look better than he is) and he improves the squad.

But for me he's no longer a potential Everton hero. No icon at this club would have bottled the derby like that, can't forgive him.

I don't have a problem with him being back, but he needs to earn his place. If he starts this weekend, he better be working his socks off.

Knowing him, he will be. And thus, all will be forgiven.

But any antics, and I'll be punting him to the bench.

Are you referring to the derby where Carragher tried to cripple him in the first few minutes ?

Nah that was the year before. Beckford and Distin at Greyskull last season, he said his "head wasn't right". Fair enough as he was out of the door by then.

I'd say he has been Moyes best purchase personally, marginally beating Cahill & Mikel.

I think the signing of and selling of Lescott was the best business by Moyes. Bought him for good value, got great performances and goals from him and then sold him for over his value.
