Whats your opinion on him,do you think he would be a good addition to spurs if he goes there, would he start or just be a squad player, its been suggested everton are prepared to pay 25mill for him,i cant see saints taking less for him, even if he did want to go to spurs more than everton,he does sound like another unproved player to me ,25 mill doesnt buy you very much these days unless you get lucky.

I had honestly never heard of him until a week or so ago and said at the time I know absolutely nothing about him and said so at the time. As I also said, I don't even know he's real posistion but if he plays in the Harry Winks is currently playing then to me, if the club think he is worth "X amount" then I think he is worth a gamble. Another thing though, whatever Southampton arewilling to accept for him, in most cases surely because he's contract is running down, I would expect any players real worth to be at least 20% more?

IF Everton have had a bid of £ 25 million for him accepted (or whatever amount) but the the player decides the move isn't for him, no other team offers the same amount but another team offers £5 million less as the window closes, what to Southampton do. Do they accept the offer or do they keep a player who wants a new challenge, a player who's heart is now looking towards the next chapter of he's career, he's performance levels drop (Erikssen for us.) and who's value is dropping by another million every month?

All clubs know this is a problem as contracts get older and it surprises me that clubs still allow contracts of players with value to run so late and should out them with no later than 18 months left to get full value for them.

After so many poor signings made by us in recent seasons i am not convinced that he is what we need,it does feel a bit like last season with sissoko ,cant really say i am too dissapointed we didnt get him either, how do you rate him good or bad

Honestly dont know why anyone would wanna live in London.

Its a complete cess pit these days. Atleast around here you have the rolling hills of cheshire and sexy scouse ladies ashore the city.

Most players don't actually live near where the teams play football but near to where the teams train. Totnam's training ground used to be at affluent Chigwell but is now on the M25 near a lot of also affluent areas.
Also, Watford and Arsenal have training grounds 20 yards away from each other, also both a little further along on the M25 so I would guess a fair few players from all 3 teams could live very near to each other in big houses in beautiful villages.

I assume it's the same for most teams players and Everton's players don't live near Goodison but live in more affluent areas?

I moved to London for a job and in the knowledge that there were always more and better paid opportunities doen here. Added to that is the attraction of a (generally) more diverse and accepting population, then there are the varieties of cinemas, parks, theatre, pubs, restaurant, galleries etc. I'd be worried about the schools but my girl is working in a good job with plenty of options.

Merseyside definitely has its plus points and there are things I miss but "scouse brows" isn't one of them :red:

What you're saying has no substance really. Just because they haven't win anything yet doesn't mean they dont have ambition. The same could thrown at us. They make very sound business ventures and don't squander money like we do. Levy can milk blood out of a stone and that'll will pay dividends eventually. How we catch up to them with the poor signings we constantly make will be hard for is to achieve. They don't lack ambition at all.
It hasn’t paid dividends though has it? They’ve been a top 6 club for ages (being the only one to achieve nothing) nothing more, nothing less and actually look to be on the down now. Hardly ambitious. They’ve also squandered huge money on everybody they bought when they sold Bale, on Ndombele and Lo Celso and Fernandes when they inevitably have to buy them and also by sacking Poch and bringing in Mourinho on what I’d expect to be high wages so you’ll have to do better there.

I don’t get why you seem to think I’m trying to say we’re any better because I know we’re not, we’re crap but Spurs aren’t some glorious beacon of football either.

But back on topic I see no reason why PEH wouldn’t go to either club but if I were him I’d run my contract down, leave on a Bosman and get a huge money move to a better club than both.

Re' the player; £25m does seem a bit stiff given the stats shared yesterday but for me I don't want sloppy seconds. He's said who are his preferred option so I'd withdraw the offer.

Considering he cost £30 million, Sissoko had a very poor first season but he gradually improved and as he was an important regular part of the team that continuously got us top 4 and I think played in every champions league game all the way to the final, he became an average signing. Strangely enough though, in our worst season in a decade, he has this season been one of our better performing player.

Not wishing to get into a spat with you and I've not spoken to the player personally but it has been quite widely reported and debated on here. Has he refuted it to you?

Perhaps you could google it for the newspaper reports
