If your relying upon the Sunday Sport for your news then I'd agree with you.

I think he'll be at Spurs too.

Re' withdrawing the offer, then we clearly disagree. On the working assumption (which is all we have) that we have agreed a price with Southampton, agreed personal terms and showed him around the training ground and he's not signed then something is holding him back. It seems that he wants to go to Spurs (else why the delay in signing) so put that all together and yes I would withdraw the offer.

I want our players to want to be here and not for my club to be their second choice.

Kane has been at Spurs (in the first team) for 6 years, and is inarguably one of the best strikers in the country, and has been for years.

Richarlison is 4 years younger, and has been at Everton a whole 2 seasons.

If Richarlison progresses to scoring the number of goals that Kane has, and is still at Everton in 4 years (and we're not winning things), THEN we can compare the two.

An awful lot of "IF's" and "Maybe's" in there.

Richarlison is 23
Kane is 26.

Anyway, we've been told to keep it on topic gents.

I don't believe we have agreed a fee with Southampton.

I think we have made a bid and its just sitting there, waiting for somebody to match it or increase it.

There I suspect it will probably sit for a few days and will then be rejected.

At which time we will increase it, then the same thing.

Until Southamton accept the bid, at which time the player will probably reject us and Levy will nip in under our bid and there we have it.

He hasnt has he? Twitter and clueless journos reading forums have.

You got me!

I admit that I haven't spoken to the player personally BUT I doubt any of the members on here contributing towards 129 pages of speculation have either.

I havnt seen a single tweet or press piece where he actually says anything. As in, a "quote".

Agents playing games, clubs playing games, players usually say nowt.

Find it strange been honest. Personally could not care one jot what spurs or anyone else Is doing.
We have posters from other clubs who post occasionally and can be interesting.
But someone posting dozens of times a day is weird.
Maybe he's a closet Evertonian. Let's try covert him fully.

So you "believe" but don't actually know because (like me and everyone on here) you're not part of the clubs involved.

Am I not allowed to have an opinion?

Yes there’s ifs buts and maybes... because those coming true is the only way it’s an apt comparison.

3.8yrs between them.

You are VERY welcome to have an opinion and I'm VERY welcome to challenge your opinion, there is no right and wrong, only peoples opinion.

Maybe you ought to read a few more papers then (Telegraph/Standard to name two)

I'm not surprised if there's no published "quote" from the player but let's see where he ends up. I'll buy you a virtual pint if he come to Goodison.

mate ... we had bill...competing with Man U and Newcastle for shearer ( 15m) by bidding 10m while we were relation fodder . Phantom Alan smith bids , unable to raise 30m for a 300m stadium, selling to loan players , we didn’t sign a single permanent player for 3 years. Levy has ran your club to budget and secured massive sponsorship deals for a club that hasn’t won anything , you have a billion pound stadium he’s delivered and if had run the club by paying players more than he has this covid timing with the stadium repkayments could have ruined the club.

He also presided over the colossal waste of the Gareth Bale fee - Looks even worse as it was before the massive hike in transfer fees post Neymar.

His first choice of new stadium was to leave Haringey, sod the fans, move to the Olympic Stadium, knock it down and build a new ground there. They figured that would be £200M cheaper than the £450M cost of building a new stadium on the site of White Hart Lane.....£450M eh?

Outside of Pochettino, and for a short spell Redknapp, Levy has presided over numerous false dawns and has yet to deliver sustained success. Anytime they've come close he's managed to squeeze the manager out of the club within months.

Levy has done some very good stuff at Spurs but the whole mantra that he has some kind of Midas touch, has incredible foresight and gets nothing wrong with his tough negotiating is a complete falsehood. He definitely has a touch of the glass ceiling about him.
