For like the millionth time we don't play 4-4-2 when attacking.
We don’t but we still start with only 2 central midfielders regardless.

And in a 442 with attacking fullbacks you do not want your 2 midfielders to be bombing on as well.

Yeah good point. Systems pale in comparison to what your players do with and without the ball. Granted it can be key with two elite teams maybe playing a chess match. But in a poor league like the premier league, where 90 percent of the teams aren’t very good, just some basic intelligence of play can win you most games. I certainly don’t subscribe to the fact that any player can go from quality to useless by a slight tweak in the system or their position. I mean you wouldn’t play zidane right back but if he did play there, he wouldn’t suddenly be unable to control or pass a football. Some of our players get such a free pass on this....i’m not hung up on systems, never have been. For me, it’s always about what you do with the ball and what you do without the ball.
Beyond that it depends on the players. I want Everton to create chances and be a threat against the best. I want Everton to be hard to breakdown and score against, even playing the best. What you do when you have the ball and when you don’t have the ball.
CMs who sit in are fine with me. Wingers who create and score are a key ingredient for me, but they need to be industrious and work hard for the team. i want athleticism in all areas, those full backs need to work that tramline down the length of the pitch.

No, I don’t particularly want my two CMs bombing forward.
You're wasted on here, Eggsarinho...should be doing match previews for that MoutsMelt kid.
He can't play a forward pa's, according to Southampton fans, and a huge majority of his passes actually go to the opposition. Hope to be proven wrong, but seems like he'd be a welcome near missLooks like his main job is to win the ball back but can also play a forward pass.
If the price is right, get him in alongside another midfielder. We need to massively step up the quantity and quality of our midfield options with 2 new midfielders, Gomes and Gbamin getting up and running.

We don't really play anything when attacking tbfFor like the millionth time we don't play 4-4-2 when attacking.
Same as Seamus isn't a good signWhoscored, yes I know, lists his passing accuracy at 78%, which is quite low for a player unless he's trying 90 yarders every game, for context and no, I don't know why Niasse has 100%.

But he's not a passer as such, his job is to break up play, but I still find it low.
You can take 15 percentage points off as soon as any of those players in France stops playing against electricians every third weekend. Seriously though, Gana's at 92.7%
