I agree with you there.

Anyone got one of those fancy home pizza oven thingys??

Every time i see an Ooni advert it makes me want to buy one..

They do look nice, but very pricey. I think the only advantage over a regular oven is the high temperature...my oven can only reach about 600F, and these go up to like 950F...you can basically flash-fry a pie in like 7 minutes.

I do have an Ooni pizza blade to cut a pizza with and I will say it's a very good investment and way better than other pizza cutters I've used (like those roller types).

Yep, they're great. Got mine in lockdown, the price has gone up a fair bit now I think.

They are pricey but I very rarely order pizza out now unless it's really good. Cheaper than a BBQ too seeing as you can feed a family of 4 for £5 fairly easily

The best conventional way to go them without is with a frying pan for the base and then but the pan in the grill for the toppings

Yeah, definitely satisfied with my pizza making skills now that I prefer it over carry-out--making my own pizza sauce is what did the trick for me and I recently saw that Costco now sells Tipo 00 flour, so will try that. To be sure I live in a smallish town that isn't known for pizza, so not like I'm missing out on good restaurant pizza anyways.

What's your secret base sauce recipe? And there seems a quite nearby niche...

Been thinking about getting one. Do you have the wood pellet or propane one?

Do you make your own pizza dough?

….currently on holiday in Cyprus, Mrs Eggs and I shared a very pleasant pizza for lunch this afternoon with fresh black olives, ham and cheese toppings.

Couldn’t believe it when the wife said an old bloke on the next table poured tomato sauce over his pizza. Yuk.
Yeah, I had a housemate at uni that had ketchup with pizza, the bad wampa.

Honey on pizza really is the business though. Sainsburys do this one that's 'kin marvelous
