Play up Pompey

Michael Brown - not everybody's favourite player by any stretch - has clearly got up Steven Gerrard's nose and, for my money, the Liverpool skipper is lucky to remain on the field after slamming a forearm into the back of the Pompey midfielder's head. Referee Stuart Atwell gives the foul but nothing more, and I have to say that's a big let-off. Rafael Benitez immediately subs Gerrard and on comes Yossi Benayoun.

He never fails does he? And yet BBC et al are preoccupied with Fellaini.

******* rags. Neither of those Echo or Daily Post match reports even mention the Gerrard assault. Everyone else saw this:

Football Association Respect Campaign

"Respect is The FA’s programme to address unacceptable behaviour in football – on and off the pitch...
the FA’s Respect programme provides a series of tools for leagues, clubs, coaches, Referees, players and parents from grassroots to elite football to ensure a safe, positive environment in which to enjoy the game.
The latest campaign in the Football Association’s Respect programme aims to help further reduce levels of anti-social behaviour both on and off the pitch."

So that'll be Stevie GBH deffo banned for three matches then.

if he doesnt get banned for that then moyes and every other manager in the game should ignore any sanction the fa ever tries to impose on anyone.

BBC Sport - Football - Steven Gerrard escapes action over Michael Brown clash

Jesus wept.

If there's any player who I'd shrug my shoulders at seeing get a broken leg it's this cnut.

FA = a bunch of shithouses as per usual.

Lets look at his 'incident' sheet.

-Knocks over young child with his car speeding through the streets of Huyton.

-Involved in love triangle with notorious Liverpool gangsters leading to illigitimate baby.

-Is on the verge of leaving the club he loves so much for more money elsewhere before being threatened with kneecapping.

-Punches a guy in a pub so he can put his music on.

-Tells the referee to 'Eff Off' with additional hand jesture caught on camera.

-Assaults Michael Brown on the pitch, also caught on camera.

Walks away scot free from everything. Such a role model.

If i ever get in trouble, I hope I get a touch like this.

This is why I very much dislike this man. He is a disgrace to Merseyside.

The FA are a disgrace for ignoring this ****er.:dodgy:
He really should be in a different occupation, such as a money lenders muscle who knocks on old ladies doors with a knuckleduster on. (n)

As I say, I hate talking about players getting leg breaks etc. It's just not on to talk that way...but this feller is an exception. If the authorities wont deal with his actions what other reaction can you possibly expect people to have other than to hope the worst on the pitch for him? He's a complete and utter cnut. There's decent pros who've had their careers wrecked down the years and this feller is still playing and injuring people. It's not wrong to want that situation put right.
