Player contract expiry dates

Wouldn't shock me if it's written into all of the contracts that we can't terminate someone for getting investigated/charged. We can probably only sack someone without penalties if they actually get convicted of something

Less to do with PR and more to avoid the chance of legal action and/or a load of bother from the Players Union

I don't know the in and outs of the situation with the player in question

I'm guessing we've got to cover ourselves whilst also honouring the contractual clauses, hence the suspension

No one, be they the Gylph, the club, the supporters, or the FKWs, would benefit from the club not suspending him.

Extend Alans contract + 1 year (unless we already have an option to extend)
Would also look to offer DCL improved terms to extend a couple of years on his contract.
