I saw this article on Reddit this morning and it irked me somewhat. I recall hearing similar thoughts about Conte when he was manager of Chelsea, that he worked the players too hard and that the players weren’t happy with him, despite winning the league the year prior.

Having spent a little bit of time reading the thoughts of Spurs fans there’s a notion that the club has a problem with player influence. In short, the players seemingly don’t want a manager that is going to work them hard.

I’m fast losing interest in football. I see stories like this and it reminds me of the huge power and influence that players have in the game now. It’s all about them it seems. We see it frequently when players seemingly down tools or lose interest because they’re not being treated the way they want to be treated.

I think the Bosman rule could also do with a rework, as in its current form it gives players all the power.

So... you'd rather football be about what you want, and not what the players want?

Football is for the fans, is it not? This is exactly what I mean. People give players far too much respect at times

Players shouldn’t have a say in managerial appointments unless they’re specifically asked in my opinion. Players do not have loyalty to clubs.

There's nothing to go around on. Players in all sports are realizing that they should look out for themselves and they're going to do so more and more. Get used to it. If you think Rom or Ross doing us was bad just wait.

There's nothing to go around on. Players in all sports are realizing that they should look out for themselves and they're going to do so more and more. Get used to it. If you think Rom or Ross doing us was bad just wait.

What did Lukaku do to us? Barkley shafted us but Lukaku never, ever hid his intentions. As I said he has the talent and can justify his arrogance to an extent. He’s an elite striker no matter what anyone says, and there will always be a market for those players.
