I really only took issue with "they want to make it all about them." It is all about them. They're the sport, the money, the spectacle. So yeah I'd be pissed and I expect in the coming decades there will be more than one time a players decision will make me so. But that's the game now.

It happens in every walk of life though. New management upsets the old guard, so some leave. Sometimes it's reputation, managerial style, or just that they'd got used to coasting.

It isn't a great look. But a lot of them had Poch who is supposed to be similar and they didn't win still. So I don't know.

I guess I'm not that arsed. I can hardly imagine that players asking to get what they want is new, as well as owners catering to demands from their star players. And I'm quite confident that fans moaning is not new either. Maybe it's just the fact that milquetoast stories attract eyeballs for clicks that's new, but maybe that's old as well and I simply haven't read enough issues of Shoot or Four Four Two to know better.
 
It's happened previously with certain players not having new managers or their methods - look at Revies old boys club (Bremner/Giles etc) at Leeds with Clough, getting him the bullet after no time in the job or the United team when dour Davey took over there.

Thing is though, those players were really at the top of the game, winning the league etc - they had earned the (misplaced) right to oppose Clough and Davey.

These spurs flops have got some brass neck to revolt before Conte even got in there, after the garbage they have put up last season, and if the Everton squad had the stones to try this during our manager search, is be apoplectic - @Baines' left foot is spot on.

Footy will continue to die on its arse unless the power is taken back from these mercenary wasters.

Most of the bang average players in the league are not the game at all, they are a small part, and they need to remember that - this isn't NBA.

Yeah it's newer for you all. The Decision was over a decade ago now so we've been doing this for awhile. You'll get there. And either you'll deal with it or be a bunch of old mean yelling at clouds I guess.

Thanks, but I think you said it very well origanlly mate.

It really is starting to grind my gears how these fraud footballers can get away with crap like this, and I am also falling out of love with football.

This type of thing is exactly what is wrong with our squad of cowboys and how they have done for several managers by downing tools and giving up any time there was anything on the line or times got tough - I'm sick of them all.

If Levy & the spurs directors had anything about them they should have hired Conte, backed their choice of manager and transfer listed all the dissidents in the dressing room.
