Playing guitar

Does anyone play guitar? I've just started learning. I'm trying to play the G chord and I can't understand how it's physically possible to get your fingers in that position. It's getting rar on my tits.

Just keep picking it back up you’ll find you learn (muscle and mind) when you are away from the guitar. Like when you are trying to beat a boss all night on a video game and can’t do it and then pick it up the next day and you beat him first go.

It’s not about how daft you feel for it seeming like a mountain to do a chord and switch it’s about coming back it you put it down. Guarantee you it’ll click.

Practice and patience mate. That goes for all chords and don't just fret (see what I did there) about chord shapes, it's important to be comfortable strumming so take time out just getting used to playing a rhythm.

After a few months, you'll be absolutely fine and on the road to a happiness (for a limited time)

Enjoy and keep us posted how you get on ;)
Cheers mate, I'll keep going till I get it.

Simple G: Play only the top three strings. Fret the first string at the third fret, play the second and third open.

Full six string G: Little finger on top string third fret; ring finger on 6th string third fret; middle finger on 5th string second fret.

What chords are you playing before and after G? Do they mean you have move every finger?

So G is usually:
3
2
0
0
0
3

But it can also be:
3
2
0
0
3
3

Try it with the extra finger and then
Maybe try D just before and after, leaving your finger on the 2nd string and using it to pivot the others.
