Playing in the Premier League

I’ve spent months coming up with pros and cons of relegations, and I have to say, a few seasons of Sky Bet gets incredibly more tempting as we hurtle towards it

“Can’t wait for Rochdale away”

As a non league fan I actually am looking forward to it like.

No match of the Day ,or live games on Sky or BT the odd game on Sky F' every 2weeks ,might not be a bad thing.

I’m interested to know everyone’s thoughts on why they want to stay up this season and continue in the Premier League. It Might sound like a daft question but everyone has their own reasons. I hope we stay up but Iv been bored and fed up with the PL for years now just making up the numbers, the bias to the big clubs etc.

What’s your reason?

Do you enjoy the league
Do you hope we compete for Champions league again one day?
Is it financial reasons for the club?
Another reason?

The last Premier League game I watched not involving Everton, I actually couldn't tell you. It must be at least two seasons. I don't even watch the Champions League. I still want us to stay up mind.

That's pretty much my stance on it also. Don't care about the PL as a competition. If anything, I probably hate it, just as much as I do hate the CL. Wouldn't bother with it without Everton being in it.

Do want Everton to play at the highest possible level though. Everton surviving and the PL bubble to burst would be one of the best football related experiences of my life.

I won’t enjoy the fact that our proud top flight history will be ruined .

It would take 11 seasons of Everton out of the Premier League, for Aston Villa to catch up and even the record of 119 seasons in the top flight in total. Not completely ruined.

If Everton go down and straight back up, that would only be 5 seasons in the whole of English football on being outside the top flight. I suppose the worry, is that we'll be down there for ten years.

We would have less chance of a cup run, we would have less tv coverage. The standard of player we would get in the championship would make our current dross look like world beaters.
I’m not sure we would come straight up and BMD would end up half empty.
My IPTV would be pretty useless too.

Look at the bright side. There would still be a lot of porn channels to choose from.;)
