Yes, great Manager, step up from the fat one...he's the type of Hero Everton needs...

It's a "No" from me, he was great many years ago, he is still good. But he was at Arsenal for a long time and had full control, he has refused to operate under a system with a DOF (which Moshiri favours) and I cannot see him changing, wherever he goes he will want full control. Plus he is on about £8m a year and is 68. I think Evertonians would find him highly frustrating, he has failed to replace key areas of the Arsenal squad which has lead to their decline. I would prefer we got someone else.

I'll scream if I hear the word "project" again.
It's a nice thought that there are managers/coaches out there willing to sign up to come somewhere and oversee something that in our case will take 5 years minimum.
The likes of Wenger are too old to do that. In fact anyone with a burgeoning reputation will be too impatient to be a part of a "journey" like that.
Just get someone with footballing prowess to manage the team. Leave all the other stuff to the businessmen.

purely as a first choice no, we need a bit of youthful energy for a big project, but would have him over sam, dyche, howe or silva as I think wenger genuinely cares about the club he is charged with and would look to the future rather than his own legacy

Yet he won 3/4 fa cups and finished about utd for the last 4 years until this year. Got to the semi final of the EL. We didn't even get out the groups stages

Give your had a wobble lad... he a vast vast improvement on Allardyce

Given our defence is unbelievably bad I'd edge to a 'non' vote. Wenger has been continually let down by his defence since about 2006, or has his defence been let down by him? Considering he signed them all, he is obviously largely responsible for their current state. His recent record in the FA Cup however is evidence that he is not finished per se, but I would rather a Fonseca, Emery or Mancini type on a multi year contract as opposed to Wenger on a 1/2 year maximum.

He was on £8 million at year at Arsenal, so the wise old Frenchman certainly isn't cheap.

Glad to hear that Wenger doesn't favour this DOF nonsense. Hopefully we get Wenger in and then there is no need to get that Brands in, who will end up doing a Koeman on us anyway!

Not safe, but he’s won 10 trophies since we did last, he can spot a player, he can attract a player, he is a known proven quantity, and he wants to prove he’s got something in the tank.

That last sentence, that is the key to it all.

If he still loves the day in day out stuff and wants to stay in the PL, then must be considered if interested.

Not much evidence of that in the past few years

Should have gracefully stepped away from Arsenal years ago but stubbornly stuck there

Arsenal are about 3-4 years behind the other sides

He's a spent force

To be honest, I don't see us being a Club who can attract a top manager at the moment. The likes of Howe, Silva, Dyche, etc. are about our heavy. So if we can bring in a Manager of Wengers' footballing stature, then we should do it. He does have a winning pedigree and mentality, he could attract players to our Club who otherwise wouldn't give us a second thought, and when he leaves we could be better placed, and a more desirable destination, for Managers other than Howe, Silva, Dyche, etc. to consider.

If we make our next Managerial appointment another "isn't he doing brilliantly with what he's got" media darling, and get it wrong (once again), then we could and up deep in it, and find ourselves struggling to even attract the likes of Neil Warnock in the future.
