If he was coming in for 1 (or maybe 2) years to work with Brands on getting us into a position to progress, then yes.

Ideally, we need to be appointing a long-term manager this summer, but if the right one isn't available, we could do much worse than appointing someone like Wenger who could instil a good ethos into our style of play.

Having said that, I doubt he'd join us anyway, so...

Dyche getting the best out of Berahino and Leigh Griffiths I hope
record signing a crap left back who hasn't had to do any defending all season, punting the ball over the top for shane long not to score off, 'the school of science, is on its way back' to be sung like you've just eaten a cheese grater

I wouldn't be in favour of this.

There is a big job ahead here and whatever his abilities and qualities, I think we need someone to come in with at least the initial intention of staying for more than a couple of years. I don't think Wenger fits that profile and psychologically it will be very difficult for him to approach another job with the same level of commitment and long-term outlook he showed at Arsenal.

There would yet again be too much of an over-riding sense that we are taking another reject from a top club. Arsenal and Everton are comparable in some respects but not others and I don't think it is too entitled of us to still think that if he is not good enough any longer for Arsenal, he is not good enough for us now. That, as a benchmark, is still too low for me.

Maybe or Maybe not , Arsenal expected to be consistently challenging for C/L & PL last couple of years thats fallen away and be the top club in London

also I am unsure if he has the drive / appetite to take on a project like Everton which needs a total overhaul especially the squad , to add to this work with a disfunctional board like ours ?
What I have noticed. everytime an opposing player puts a tackle in against them, they are all screaming for free kicks and cards, the Spoilt Brats, think they expect us to stand off and admire, hate them with a passion

As an interim manager, yes. To steady the ship and make us more attractive to the type of manager we think we deserve - but currently wont give us the time of day.

Our credibility remains at zero if we stay with BFS.

I think Wenger does fit into the category of elite manager. If it was suggested ten years ago that he was to go to Everton our fans would rightly be overwhelmingly in favour.
He comes with a nice collection of trophies, leagues and CL experience as well as managing the club while it built a new stadium and exited the old.

The problem, I think with most is his age, but he still seems fit and able and appears as passionate as ever.

He could be a transitional manager, not really long term, but would raise the standards of everyone at the club as well as raise the expectations.

The appointment of a young potential successor as his number two would be vital.

I think it is unlikely but ruling somebody out because of age makes no sense.

People worrying about his age, French media constantly run with stories about him being a top gooser with glamour models. He's still got that energy.

if wenger came in, then steve walsh would be demoted to head scout and we would work as he has done at Arsenal for the last 20 years, barring this season where he had a technical director.

I think Wenger could transform the club, top to bottom, and instill a fresh regime around the place.

I think the club was probably in disarray behind the scenes before Sam arrived. he has probly done a good job himself organising the stuff we don't see, but Wenger would be able to implement a much more European style to how the club is run.

it could only be a good thing , even if he came and shaped us up for 2 or 3 seasons.

whoever gets the arsenal gig, is going to land on their feet, as the club is superbly run

Don't think he's got it in him anymore

He's noticeable declined as a manager in recent years.
Our current sqaud can't play the style of football Wenger plays, and his buys have been poor in recent years.
He wouldn't just take over our players though. He would probably have a decent amount of cash to shape the squad from day 1. I think he's still got it in him because he's never finished outside the top 6 (this is his worst ever season in 22 years and it's still miles better than we have achieved in the last decade).
