He gave a verbal agreement to sign for us to BK before the BBurn game.
Valencia have offered £10m for only 50% of the player.
Part ownership of a player is accepted in any other league except English leagues.
Straight after the BBurn game, Manny apparently hopped on a jet and was in Spain having negotiations the same day.

I stand corrected on the fee, as for him going straight to spain after the game, why was he even at the game if he knew all along what was going on behind the scenes, his transfer to Valencia was completed in double quick time, this whole fiasco stinks of double dealing and deceit.

and on the first page about there being 4 days of the window open, not technically true, so long as a players registration has been submitted before the window ends then the fee haggling and player terms can exceed the window closure.

such is my understanding that is.
 
Anyone pointing the finger at Moyes, Kenwright, or the board on this one has got it wrong pure and simple. There is no conspiracy here.

You want to blame someone, easy.

Blame the FA. They're the one's that allowed this to drag on and on and on.

Had the FA done what they felt the needed to do regarding third party contracts in an expedient manner, this wouldn't have happened.

Spain has no restrictions on this sort of thing so that should answer why they can do a deal like this within 24 hours.

It isn't rocket science gang.

Real Madrid have signed Wesley Schniedjer or however you spell it so I can't see them signing Van der Fart aswell. Decent shout Dane he is streets ahead of Fernandes talent wise. It would be interesting to see if his club will let him go as they have built a team around him.

It would be like us losing Arteta. Still its worth a shot
 
The title of the thread is Positive. Well in the wake of the recent events it is very hard to be positive, so I will do my best to be so. VDM is still an Everton player!

Well I think we should keep VDM around, he's good for team spirit. Because the other players, if they're feeling a little down or under the weather, they can just look at VDM and say, "Well maybe for me things ain't so bad".
