I think there`s plenty of championship sides that would be better than us. We make hard work of lower league teams in the cup competitions every year.A mate of mine who is a United fan always says one of his favourite seasons ever was the one they spent in division 2 as it was back then.
He said the football was great to watch, they were by far the best side and there was no pressure, it was just a season of joy and laughs plus he got to go to loads of grounds he never would normally have gone to.
And there’s the real problem .The EFL take adherence to financial rules seriously, we’d be ruined .It's easier to rebuild
Maybe finally the entire board would go and the owner sell up
But it would be financial armageddon that we will never recover from
