A mate of mine who is a United fan always says one of his favourite seasons ever was the one they spent in division 2 as it was back then.

He said the football was great to watch, they were by far the best side and there was no pressure, it was just a season of joy and laughs plus he got to go to loads of grounds he never would normally have gone to.

I think there`s plenty of championship sides that would be better than us. We make hard work of lower league teams in the cup competitions every year.

And honestly, take a look at those clubs' names again. Could you honestly see us beating most of those with any consistency?

I could see every single one of those take points from us - this season's us. I mean, they tended to do it often enough when they were last in the same division as us.
