Possible Goodison redevelopment.

Goodison redeveloped at a lower capacity could work tbh.

Removing the Park End, leaves a decent area of land open for regeneration in the area.

Removing the Top Balcony, and the worst obstructed views in the lower/Upper Gwladys & Bullens, would lower overall capacity a fair bit, and make the facilities their abit more bearable with less people to serve, overall capacity would be about 26-27k then I'm guessing.

Still be abit big for the current popularity of the womens team, but playing at Goodison would likely attract alot more people.

Would still make Goodison another revenue stream for us though, able to host tours, functions still, but also events either too small for BMD or on the same day as we have a game at home.

the park end would likely be the easiest to keep/maintain.
Maybe the Main stand comes down.
How much does it hold? 15k?
Leave 3 sided 25k Stadium that keeps the Leitch architecture.

In my eyes, the only way it stays up is with the Bullens and Park End, the other two stands redeveloped into two, modest terraces/stands, ground ends up being about 24,000.
what would you do with the gwladys? I think it’s sacrilege to do anything to the Bullens and Gwladys but happy for any remodelling of park end and main stand,

If Goodison was kept in one form or another as a football ground it might be an idea for the club or a company to run shuttle buses from there to BM for people in the area on match days. Give fans an option to stay around the area pre and post match. Then again I guess the club would rather the fans to be in the new fan zone and spending money there

Here's a thought.
One that might get me shot out of a canon.
Would there be any sense in Everton FC Womens and Liverpool FC Womens merging and playing at Goodison.
Team could wear purple and call themselves Merseyside FC or Stanley Park FC or something.
Seems to me that there is/will be a market to support one Womens PL team and there's a stadium now that could be used.
I know lots of fans of Everton and Liverpool womens teams would baulk at the idea but it could be a good way to get a competitive well supported womens team playing in an iconic ground.
Probably a non starter but thought I'd see the reaction.
Nah. They’d be called the Liver Birds.

When they built the Park End did they not have the front of the stand far away from the pitch to allow for a redeveloped Gwladys Street end to start more in line with the main stand? If this was seen as an option back in the 90`s I don`t see any redevelopment not leveling the Gwladys and Bullens road stands.

I just think they'll keep the Bullens and Park End, the latter has least upkeeping and more options.

The Street end for all it's charms, is covered with obstructions, is shallow, I think it'll become a smaller, 1-2,000 end, genuinely wouldn't be shockdd if they went ahead with it, if 2 of the stands went and I just can't see the Park End going.

I think that whatever happens certain of the stands will be redeveloped to encompass use by the local community by incorporating health and wellbeing facilities in line with the EITC vision. There may well be some degree of affordable or short term living accomodation involved for use by the more vulnerable members of society such as young, homeless people and one which involves vocational training to try and enable them to get on their feet. The City authorities could also contribute towards the running costs as it would be beneficial for them to be seen as a caring council aiding in relieving deprivation in an area of the City that needs assistance.

Admittedly, this may be in line with what was originally mooted as part of the original Goodison regeneration project but I really cannot see GP continue being used solely as a football stadium as it would be otherwise underused and an opportunity missed.

Yes, this is most practical solution. The compromise here is between tradition - as represented by the Bullens - and modernity, as exemplified by the Park End. The Main Stand has no architectural value, is too large for what's needed, and too expensive to maintain. So that goes. The Gwladys has some traditional kudos, but is too shallow and expensive to maintain. Architectural value and tradition is best preserved in the Bullens. The Park End has no architectural value but is modern, by comparison with the others, and easy to maintain.
