No it isn't, We're entitled to that and bringing it into the public domain makes sure it happens or people will be on the PL's case about dodgy talks with City behind closed doors.
It makes Everton look like a Victorian villain - unmoved by suffering.

That statement is 'kin outrageous IMO.

If LFC had made it you can be 100% certain the majority on here would be deriding and condemning it.

Big mistake that public statement. I dont think there'll be too many won over to our cause when hundreds of people per day are dying of that virus in this country alone and Manchester and its environs are right in the thick of it. The club (and whichever individual it was should make themselves known) have let petty football matters get the better of them because they felt they should 'speak up' for the fans.

Nobheads.

All we can do is wait and see, I wonder how these players get it, as they are in a bubble already and shouldn’t be out and about really

What do you mean, 'shouldn't be out and about'?

They're the same as everyone else mate. They are in a bubble when they enter the training centre, but they aren't locked in their houses. They are allowed to go and do what anyone else in the same tiers as them are.

Wolves are the only PL team to have reintroduced a block on their players or their families going to the supermarket.

Players aren't robots. We don't just go and shove them in their house except for training. They all have families or people they live with - same for the staff members, the team chef etc.

No, David.

They have asked for clarity as to why a decision was made without their knowledge - and why did the PL allow City to say that both clubs had been consulted when they hadn't.

There's nothing wrong with the decision itself. It's the right call. Everton know that. But they have every right to ask why procedure was not followed.

What an absurd overreaction. Give your head a wobble.

They’re seeking clarity after being left completely in the dark.

I suspect because they get regular testing some players believe they don’t need to stick to the rules like the rest of us.
We don't know who got it though - in terms of who got it first.

Would you say the team chef who has caught it was definitely not following the rules?

He could have gone to the supermarket and picked it up there. Then he's brought it into the training ground.

We just don't know, so suggesting it's just down to players not following rules is daft because we don't know.

The only issue here is why the Premier League made a decision - the right decision - without consulting both clubs.

The poster literally asked “how do players get it” you fanny.

Yep, and a lot of City fans are moaning about Everton asking stuff, when a lot of them dont seem to know like you said that Everton knew nothing about it, also why was 1st request turned down and 2nd request granted not long later if that was True, Nothing wrong with asking but Everton wanting to know is been turned into something its not

Restaurants are shut and they can get home delivery, there no where for them to go. Everyone should be staying IN unless you really really need to go out. To work or for food, otherwise should be staying in.
