When she died 31st. August, we played the next day. When she was buried on the 6th. that weekends games weren't cancelled but was an international weekend and England played Moldova. She wasn't the reigning monarch.

Was never in doubt really. Subjects must be made to worship their owners as they are beneath them. It has been that way for about 5000 years and i see no signs of it ever changing. Mass Stockholm syndrome.

Sad to see an old lady pass away just as i am when anyone passes away and my heart goes out to the families but that is as far as it goes for me. I have lost loved ones who were no less special and just as important same as all of us have.

Not that bothered about our match being cancelled though tbh. Gives us a bit more time to get players back fit such as Dom fit etc.

agree with the posts who have been pointing out the Elizabeth loved sport especially the racing and football , i think she would have said carry on, i suppose one round of matches is not too much to ask , although it congests the fixture list up more

If anyone is bored with no super sunday then I would strongly recommend watching Redzone at 6pm

im just hoping her funeral is next monday and we get a public holiday so i can stay up to watch bears v packers on sunday night with no worries.

Maybe so but at the end of the day that is all it is.

I find lots more things more exiting than footy. In fact it just depresses me now so glad in a way I get a free week.

See that makes me sad that Everton is such a burden in your life.
I live for every single minute of every game. Good or bad.
Of course there is more to life but yeah i was really really looking forward to this weekends match.

And yeah there will be no sport on the day of the funeral. Although I think it could be later than the Sunday. It will be an enormous operation to put on the event and they will want a little bit of time I reckon

It's usually 10 or 11 days.

I'd say that puts Sunday squarely in the zone.

Whatever happens, they need to announce it ASAP.

Cancelling this weekends games 25 hrs before the first kick off is really poor.

I remember I got a refund from virgin for my train ticket to London for tottenham the London riots - but Avanti are horrendous so not sure if they will.

It's really got nothing to do with class. There's no right or wrong answers to this and people see things differently. Some sports are going ahead and that's fine, some sports are not going ahead and that's also fine.

People's opinions on this are way too strong.
