All the children in the country should be mourning for ten days, they should paint their ipads black as a sign of respect, and cry at least once .

All the children in the country should be mourning for ten days, they should paint their ipads black as a sign of respect, and cry at least once an hour.
We have enough emo goths in the world as it is.

Some people struggle to separate their thoughts on the institution from the human being.
Yes, that's starkly evident reading some of the contributions to this thread.

I can understand criticising the FA if you disagree with their decision, but why the bile towards a 96-year old woman who devoted more than 70 years to a uniquely difficult job?

I suppose all we can ever regard as "normal" is based on our own experiences: the people we meet, the conversations we have. And the weakness of that model is that we all conclude "normality" based on a small sample size. Maybe we meet a thousand people in our lifetimes who influence our perception of "normal"... I've never stopped to think that there are people out there, living in the same country as me, that actively dislike the Queen, as an individual, to the point that they'd openly grumble about a football match being postponed as a mark of respect for her passing away.

I've learned something from this forum in the last 48 hours. And I'm not sure it's something that I will ever be glad to have learned.

Good shout and also you get a colouring page where you get to make your own Union Jack flag but only a black crayon is provided out of a mark of respect.

The PL totally mis-read the room (fear of negative comment would be my guess) in hitting the stop button early.
Is there big backlash in the racing, cricket, rugby and golf world's? - No.

“The decision was reached on Friday, the morning after fans of League of Ireland Premier Division side Shamrock Rovers were heard singing vile chants about the Queen during their Europa Conference League draw with Swedish outfit Djurgardens. The minute’s silence held before the second half of Hearts’ clash with Istanbul Basaksehir also had to be cut short after supporters jeered and one fan was heard shouting an expletive-laden message about Her Majesty.”

No doubt the vast majority of fans would show a bit of class and remain quiet, but also no doubt various cretins would scream abuse, and this wouldn’t happen at other sports. I think it’s really unfair to those supporters who would have liked to show a bit of respect for our longest serving Monarch, but unfortunately there will always be those who just cannot be trusted and would ruin it for the rest. Just read some of the comments on this subject here and in the CA and it becomes self evident... A great shame but there we are………

If we don't play until Oct 1, then that is absolutely a blessing.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Pickford and Doucoure all back, plus extra opportunities for Gana, Garner and Onana to get fully fit.
Apart from losing their last game, Arsenal are in form and we're usually rubbish at The Emirates, so I have no issue with this fixture being delayed a while.

WH at home is a far more favourable fixtures and even more so now DCL, Doucouré, Pickford may have an opportunity to play or less games out.
