There's a bit of a difference between a positive, inclusive "Yes We Can!" slogan and "make the country great again" by building a massive wall to keep people out mate.

And no, I don't live in the USA, but I don't have to. If you really think it's strange to attempt to learn from history, then that says it all really.
He has other policies/ideas as well mate.

Do you honestly feel that presidents just get what they want? Or that they mean everything they say they want?

So you have no first hand experience of the people who are voting here beyond a few online interactions with a fraction of a fraction of the population and what the mainstream media portrays the situation to be? I think it's stranger to suggest that due to an event (events) from history that you connect very tenuously to current day that you seem to be saying that without a doubt if he is elected that America will become the fourth reich.

Does he? I've barely heard one cohesive policy beyond the language of rhetoric from his mouth.

And anything he has committed to has been barely short of outright lunacy.

He's not got any serious plans of action whatsoever - he's just running on populist rhetoric. People don't seem to care what he'll actually do; they just want comforting words to tuck them in at night.

That's what they do mate. Give it time. He has a nomination to win first.

For me, once the words "I will deport millions of people quickly from the country, build a massive wall to keep the rats out and ban everyone of a religion from entering the country for an indeterminate amount of times" were uttered from his mouth, that would have been enough for me to say "you know what? This guy is a bloody idiot".

But 'murica it seems! It's hard to not just laugh in the face of people who support him, but laughing at them or pitying them seems to pour fuel on the fire.

Just got to hope common sense prevails.

Hillary?

Haha... it is a REALLY bad bunch of candidates the USA have this time...

In a decent world, she'd actually be in prison rather than a presidential candidate, but yeah, if the alternative is Trump, amazingly Clinton would be the better option.

I just can't get myself to agree unfortunately :)

Essentially this.

One can make the same argument for Hillary mate. Who is she depending on to win the nomination?

Man hating lesbians and financial criminals I assume.

Or to be more serious, for some reason Hispanics and Black people like her too, but I've never actually understood why, nor care to. I mean I quite literally can't think of one reason they would vote for her, but hey ho.

CNN have called Georgia, that one that begins with M and ends "ets", Alabama and Tennessee. Cruz ahead in Oklahoma, but only by 5 or 6% from Trump.
