yeah spoke about this earlier in the thread, americans seem so scared of any type of government intervention(or thats just an excuse)

There's two things I can think of here.

1. The more ethnically heterogeneous a country is, the more right wing it tends to be. That checks out, the US is the most diverse developed nation by a long shot.

2. A lot of it goes back to the big key plank of Sanders' entire campaign of money in politics. There are a lot of powerful industries that are getting rich off of our terrible healthcare system. Pharmaceuticals, medical devices, hospitals. Of course they're gonna fight tooth and nail against single payer, and with the system as it is they can do it in some pretty shady ways.

Here is the Bernie Sanders interview I mentioned. I would recommend watching it if you're interested in the difficulties his campaign has faced in the face of the establishment and hostile corporate media, along with his policy positions (free healthcare for all, public funding of election campaigns, free College education etc.) and his views on Hilary Clinton as a flip flopping professional politician.



It's refreshing to finally see an interview with him where he can just discuss his policies freely without being shouted down or attacked by the vested interests which the reporter/host represents. He actually knows his stuff and is a politician of principle.

On another note, youtube channels like this are the future, as Bernie himself alludes to. They cut through the fog of the corporate media and are already very popular. In a matter of hours this interview has 123K views.
