I'm from Sligo originally but live in the UK, if you can fly into Knock airport it is far handier than anywhere else but annoyingly you're probably having to fly on the Thursday due to the kick off time unless you are renting a car or someone is picking you up. If i do say so myself Sligo is a nice town, some great pubs there such as Connolly's, Shoot the crows, Hardigons (Very good for food), Fureys, Foleys (Probably the busiest one during the day and pints are a reasonable price), the Swagman and O'Neills is close to the ground to name just a few. There is lots of very good restaurants in Sligo too, so you won't go hungry over there or be lacking decent food. I plan to travel back myself for it, just waiting on the OK from work but due to the kick off time I will probably have to travel through Dublin getting the bus into the city centre (Probably need to get off at O'Connell street and walk up Talbot Street to catch a train at Connolly station. Trains take 3 hours, if anyone has any questions that are travelling message me on here. People are friendly over there and if you go for the weekend you should have a good laugh, safe travels is going over.
