Dad is keen on me driving and going over on the ferry - From where he lives would take about 7/8 hours which isnt too bad. only problem is I'll have to do all of the driving.

Ferry trip is not too bad from Holyhead and the drive from Dublin is not too bad. You get a good 3 hour rest on the ferry. There`s a couple of tolls on the way down on the motorway, 1 for the M50 if you use it and 1 on the M4.

it was Bremen we played in 2009 we played Wolfsburg the year later or you mean coleman played in our under 21's
2010 the first team played out in Wolfsburg the same day the u21s played Sligo. Coleman played the first 30 mins for the U21s (think the interest was to see Coleman play against his former team).

Carrick on Shannon is a perfect rest stop on the way down. Very nice food options there - try Cryans on the town by pass. You won’t be disappointed.

I do an overnight into Belfast mate if I'm driving over I cut in that way and down to the republic. Doesn't take too much longer and I've had a bloody good kip
