Moyes earned that credit fairly. He's also used it up by failing to kick on once the ship was stabilised.

Can we not recognise that someone has done a good job for us in certain areas and still think it's time they were moved on. Or should we still be starting Cahill up front?

Spot on, job well done especially in the early phases but this doesn't justify a job for life, its not the bleedin civil service

Moyes leaves > situation less stable > fans unhappy > board under pressure to do something > positive change.

I think that's not a bad outcome, tbh. The present situation is intolerable anyway.

I am of the opinion that there isn't anyone out there that could improve our league position with the given budget constraints.

And if thats the case, (and I don't think it is) then why are we judging him on the league positions? If thats out of his hands entirely then what he should be judged on is the other stuff that matters to fans, i.e derbies, cups and the quality of football. And if those things can be improved, I'll accept getting the 11th place trophy rather than the 7th.

No matter who the manager is, the fact that we're even talking about losing a manager to freaking Tottenham is an indictment of this board.

Or 17th place on the last day if we're hiring Martinez.

Fair call Davek, I see an issue with the "boards" stubbornness though, do we want to get relegated before positive change occurs?

You forgot the relegation part. Nothing is going to change until the club is mortally wounded financially. Which is sad.

Hows that even relevant, and where did I say he should stay. I said he deserves some credit for stabilising an unsteady ship, which some people don't take into consideration

For Everton. Why in the world would Bilic come here right now? No money to spend, nearly impossible to improve league position. I think some need to come to grips with the fact that this job won't necessarily draw a top manager.

We might as well just give up then eh? Moyes is obviously bigger than poor little Everton and we will die without him.
