Premier League TV Deal

Status
Not open for further replies.
Player wages to go up
Player transfer values to go up
Champions League qualification less important in future
Europa League even less relevent than now, other than gaining experience for CL

For Everton:
Requiement to move to new stadium reduces
Requirement to improve commercial activities reduces
Requirement to finish as high as possible increases as prize money gap increases

Overall:
Great news for established top clubs
More performance pressure on middle tier
Chances of new clubs into Premiership succeeding reduces significantly.

Just more of the same really.
You would have to say it is last ditch hotel time fort the Board and the new stadium. If they can't do anything with all this money then surely just go away!
The shame is that we could rebuild a stand or two at Goodison if it was possible thanks to Sky.
Shakes head...

Dont doubt that mate. Just think that some stadium stuff might just be more progressed than we know about.

Its a matter of public confidence.

Kenwright has to be public. The finances we know now are there.

He has no excuses.

I'm not prepared to be sitting on this forum in 2017 and saying what if.

I know the club now can easily afford a stadium improvement.

That is the critical thing now that if its not done will kill the club.

You are assuming they were not there already.

Not to this level. It means that the risk is lower now.

I take it extremely seriously. If things don't happening (Kenwright should be talking to people this week now) in the next couple of months then timelines slip back again.

We've been given a window and that window will be shut mid-2016.

Read what I said again.

Bourne hasn't factored other operating costs into the equation. I can see them rising keeping pace with the TV deals and this will hamper Kenwright's 24/7 efforts to finance a new stadium or sell the club.

HMRC will be all over this deal.

The only way clubs will avoid paying excessive corporation tax on profit is to invest in assets.

Non-player assets as they can't due to club wage restrictions.

Get back to Norwich City mate and let the adults talk serious business.

What you gonna do to Bill though mate.

What ya gonna do, what what what ya gonna do to Bill when we aren't in a new stadium.

I think it's really important you tell the forum what exactly you're gonna do when he doesn't get us a new stadium with the TV money.

With Friday Night Footy on the Horizon, as well as instead of 1 of the early k.o.'s there'll only be about 2 games on a saturday afternoon, good chance that a large % of games will be rescheduled which may be to a time that isn't suitable for a season ticket holder.
Wasn't there a ruling in favour of a Tottenham Supporter a few years ago ?
as in he wanted compensating for a game that he could no longer attend due to rescheduling ?
