So what's that in turnover 185 mill - 190mill per season. Maybe a tad less.

Tbf if your making that a season Bill would be mad to sell for anything under 200mill, interesting.

Good point. The price of Everton FC has just gone through the roof.

5 more years please Bill. :(

Not to mention our debt has reduced.

While our debt to turnover ratio, is mosquito stuff with the last and this deal.

That said the more expensive the club the better calibre of investor, but if I'm being honest I think that ship has sailed from the PL.

Stadium via Arsenal model of generating organic income the only show in town for me.

Guess we'll start seeing friday night matches too. And all manner of silly kick off times over weekends

Bit sad really the death of football the way i grew up with
Nothing stays the same. The Premier League is money-driven and he who plays the fiddler calls the tune. The important thing is that the tune keeps playing and that, hopefully, the audience gets in cheaper than it now does.

I wellied sky into touch, so I'm now waiting for the never ending stream of calls from them trying to get me to sign up again, along with the poor postie man having to lump the endless crap they will be sending in the post
If you tell them you're going over to BT they'll offer you a much better deal. I told them my wife has put her foot down as it's too expensive considering it's mostly for me. It was worth playing the downtrodden husband because Sky then offered me 12 months for the complete package but only having to pay the HD charge (less than £15 per month).

Happy days indeed.

Has it been said how much extra each team will receive once this deal kicks in ?
This guy does even most posting about FFP than Bizarro does, although it is from a chelsea perspective.

@JakeFCohen: To put new Premier League TV deal in perspective wrt FFP, allows clubs to spend extra £150m in transfer fees + £400k pw in wages.
@badboy_warrior: @JakeFCohen Doesn't the Premiership FFP cap on wage increases stop that?
@JakeFCohen: @badboy_warrior Chelsea earns enough commercial and matchday revenue where the cap on using £ from PL central finds shouldn't apply
@JakeFCohen: @badboy_warrior that said, unless the rules are changed, it will definitely affect several other clubs though

Wages will have to go up, I suspect, and transfer fees will continue to rise quickly - perhaps at an untenable rate. Securing non-television revenue remains imperative to Everton's success, simply to try and break away from the middle of the pack, all of whom will see the same gains from this deal.

In the end, unless we use it for our Academy and a new stadium, the only thing that will change is we'll argue about whether player X should be on £130k/week rather than £70k/week. Of course, if we invest in the long term we may see short term losses assuming those around us dump the money solely into their squads.

Will be interesting to see how it's handled. A new stadium certainly seems like it should be a must, but we'll see whether that ever happens.
