Premier League TV Deal

Everton need to invest the money obviously in a new stadium and also in creating links with other clubs and developing our youth setup. If they could possibly offset ticket prices somehow that would be great for us fans. If we are to get back to the top without a Sugar Daddy, we need to diversify ourselves from other clubs in and around the 6-12 bracket within the PL. Creating links to other clubs and having an excellent youth setup is the only way to go in my eyes, rather than throwing millions at sub standard players and greedy agents looking to get their fill from the new deal.

Having your home games televised becomes even more important. Sky are going to pay £10.8 million per game shown and BT £7.6 million. Based on last season Manu had 7 Sky home games televised so under the new deal they will get £75.6 million from Sky. And for the 4 BT games would get £30.4 million. million = £106 million. Likewise with Liverpool that the same as Manu, 4 BT home games and 7 Sky home games televised . We had 1 BT game = £7.6 million and 6 Sky games means £64.8 million = £72.4 million. The gap between the revenue for those that have their home games televised and the rest will grow. With Sky getting 10 extra games and BT 4 more I think that LFC and Manu will have even more home games shown.

That said the new deal should allow us to pay off most of our debt and get a move on with building a new stadium.
