Project restarts final act of desperation suggestion to finish the season.

6 defenders for the team in yellow ? is Moyes managing them ?

I get what you’re saying but I see no reason why the top 2 from championship get promoted. They haven’t won anything and I’m sure (without looking) Fulham are very close behind West Brom. The only viable option where it’s fair to all (and yes i appreciate it’s harsher on some clubs than others) is to void all leagues and start next season when or if they are able to.

It’s so blindingly obvious it hurts.

This season is almost complete and apart from prize money, most gate and TV income right down all the leagues has been made by the clubs.

Void the rest of this season, cut losses and prepare for 2020/21 with a more realistic timeframe of getting started with a month or so delay built in.

The rush to complete this season won’t just affect public health, it’ll massively impact on next season from a logistical/administrative point of view, causing further on-going problems.

It’s not that blindingly obvious a quarter of gate money has been lost , prize money won’t be payed out until the final placings I would imagine a quarter of tv income will either not be payed yet or have to be refunded , as for next season that’s undoubtedly going to be impacted on with almost certainly a possibly huge period of games bcd resulting in huge gate and some commercial losses too .

Lots of people and companies have been working through this and lots are preparing to go back

I did not even realise that when the German footy is back, that the Games are at there own Grounds with no fans, it shows that they dont trust the english fans that we supposedly cant use our own grounds
Thing is, the rs have 95% of their fanbase outside of Liverpool so they will congregate in any City these matches are played.

Leagues 1 and 2 expected to be ended in the week with clubs voting on how to decide promotion/relegation. An Athletic journo called Matt Slater has put up the hypothetical tables for both of they were decided on PPG, in L1 the top 3 would stay as is but Wycombe would benefit, gaining a play off place in 6th (currently 8th) with Portsmouth dropping down to 7th. The bottom 3 would still go down but on PPG Southend would finish bottom

In League 2, the lone key change would see Swindon win the title, not Crewe, the playoff teams stay as they are but Cheltenham would finish 4th, Stevenage would still go down despite Macclesfield’s 7 point deduction

The question will be, how do you play play offs? And will sides accept relegation, without legal action?

Prize money could be paid out tomorrow if the league was voided. You'd just have less of a pot to pay out from. They should have been negotiating with broadcasters weeks ago the least worst deal, trying to gain what concessions they could and offering more games next season. Instead they've wasted time coming up with a circus months after the season ended.

Apart from Bolton, who were never likely to catch Tranmere let alone MK, there would be a lot of legalities to sort. Stevenage would have a case that they could catch Macc now they’ve had the deduction, likewise Rovers with the Dons. Portsmouth and Sunderland, the former more so would have a case for losing out on the playoffs

At the same time if you null/void do you reapply Bolton’s deduction from this season for the next season? If so then they might be unhappy about being repunished

Pompey put a bit of effort into the fa cup and have reached a Wembley final in another cup that they won't get to play.
They turned a profit this season after years of struggle, so that's tough on them for sure.

Pay out as normal then give the broadcasters an extra season on the existing deal.

Voiding provides a certain cleansing and neatness. eading the likes of The Athletic and similar, the voiding argument seems to be something that’s not regarded as realistic by the 20 clubs due to the financial implications it’ll bring as prize money would be voided with it. The thirst to restart is based around prize money and appeasing the broadcasters who are the chief paymasters.

As nothing has been invested into next season, there’s not the equivalent motivation to race into that scenario.

The moral arguments are secondary to the financial factors at play.
