The thing is the FA/PL/Sky/chairmen/CEOs can say whatever they want,if individual players say no then its over,if I'm a player with millions in the bank am I going to risk mine and my familys health? What happens if it causes irreprible damage to me,I lose all those potential earning through playing and transfer fees
Bingo.... and exactly the point I’ve been trying to make over the past few weeks. If a player doesn’t want to play then you can’t force him to.

Big Joe got a lot of kopite abuse last week suggesting the football not be played because Liverpool fans would gather in numbers and brake social distancing measures.
Well yesterday there seems to have been plenty of street parties and congas for VE day, if people couldn't behave 75 years on from an event there's no chance those shameless ticket thieving, bus attacking, masterbating in the street scruffs will.

Come Sunday, I think they'll have a End of June date to go forward for Behind Closed Doors from the Government and come Monday, they'll vote for it, scrap contact renewals, play in neutral venues and go ahead.

Cue a 2nd Wave, multiple tests coming back positive and they will still play the sodding thing.

I reckon that will be the outcome as well mate. The government have already said they want the season to continue and they'll give the nod for it to go ahead.

Yeah but they'll fine and threats the clubs for letting their players have a right

They can try,Im sure theres plenty of health and safety laws to cover them, plus if Kane,DeBruyne,Richarlson,Mane etc say no what can the clubs do? They arent going to rip up contracts

They are protected mate by health and safety laws same as you and me. If you feel your workplace is not safe then it is your duty to refuse to work, your rights and pay are protected.... as it should be.

Triangular pitch. Goal in each corner. Three teams at a time. But how many balls/subs/referees/halves? Over to you, Gordon Taylor.
Why stop there?

Build a massive Crystal Maze and instead of gold and silver tokens release thousands of Subbuteo balls, alongside some 'danger' balls that look similar but actually remove a goal from your score if you collect them.

Five teams in the Dome at any one time, 10-minute matches. The season could be over in one afternoon.

Goalline technology used to ensure all balls cross the line into the basket.

Just can't see it myself. This government have overseen the most shocking death figures in the world. Really not sure they'd take the risk of adding to that.

I don't think they even care what the total loss of life will be, this government and pm have allowed "herd immunity" Cummings to sit on the sage and cobra meetings and offer his "expertise". They had rode roughshod over the scientific and medical Fields, and ran their own agenda from the start. I think they want the second wave and the as bojo said " we will all lose loved ones before their time" - I wouldn't rule anything out myself - as none of it makes any sense to me.

The Government will give it the provisional go ahead but the date they‘ll give it will be the end of June IMO which is basically kicking the can further down the road to a time that may be too late anyway. 1 setback along the way and that date goes out the window as well but the end of June will be a best case scenario for those who want to keep playing.

Giving it the go ahead too late is basically pulling the plug on it.

Add in all the other hurdles in the way and I’m certain it’s already done and will get cancelled.

Apparently they do have a vote and have voted to play. Which is kinda why this is dragging out as you've got the players agreeing to continue.

The problem is how they play the games which has broken down. They need 14 teams to agree how the games are played.

Either way, some teams will gain and others won't.

Also, before a game kicks off 1 team only has to say no and it will be abandoned according to the proposals

A few reports saying upto 50 players have voiced concerns, they havent yet had discussions with clubs or assurances on insurance should either they or a family member suffer because of it,I honestly cant see why they would risk it when there is no need

If anything they should be bringing forward next season. Its going to be stop start with games being postponed due to outbreaks of this virus.
