Sounds like its definitely going to restart by the sounds of things.

Only way I can see it changing is if this relaxing of lockdown see's an inevitable increase in infections and the NHS are funny about having football grounds take away some of their resources.

Regardless of what happens I won't be watching it - the Merseyside Derby at an empty stadium in Brighton would be an utter farce.

They’d decide the venues by close proximity for teams to travel, so our remaining games would more likely be played in Manchester or Birmingham rather than down south

Personally think there is only three viable options

1. Resume the league when it is absolutely safe to do so get all clubs on board would be needed for this no neutral grounds if required home team picks the venue. Logistical nightmare but and I highly doubt it would be safe to resume before other options need to be taken.

2. PPG to finalize league positions, prize money and European places. No relegation clubs vote whether or not to award title. look at possible financial compensation for teams predicted to come up or maybe expand league temp for one season.

3. Null and void stiff biccies decide on EL places via meeting no promotion or relegation.

TV money can be negotiated with different terms and conditions the following year to make up short fall

I completely agree with this although I think UEFA have set a date a week or 2 back that they must all be finished by (end of July). I personally think our Government will ensure restrictions stay in place tomorrow meaning that finishing by that date is going to be virtually impossible. I think the Government know it won’t continue as well, they’re just happy for people to be talking about football instead of there own shortcomings.

I can definitely see option 2 being used then and I think the clubs all know it as well hence why the teams at the bottom aren’t bothered about the PPG threat and won’t agree to play.

To me void is the fairest way,PPG is no way to sort things out,it doesnt take into account whether the game is home or away, whether a player is back from injury, plus how many times has a team turned it around while another team has collapsed, just say its over and try sorting out what to do in the coming months with regard to behind closed doors, fonances, contracts etc

Indeed, cancel the league and throw it away for this year. There’s always next year....

Are people vetting these suggestions? That's before you factor in Liverpool potentially winning the league. It's crazy.
Just imagine a potential scenario where Liverpool have secured the title at either old Trafford or Etihad bound to be ssome fans about and the ones probably likely to cause trouble deep in city's or united territory it's a recipe for disaster

Well yes, and it could theoretically be won in that fixture as well. I mean it's all a bit ridiculous. A mass football brawl between mancs and scousers can just be added to the list of indignity at present.
