Language being used here is hilarious “they (the bottom six clubs)need to think about the long term consequences“

And the the drivel served up by Spitty C at the end of the article just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever - thick as s**t he really is.

They will all suffer dodgy VAR decisions the next few years ensuring they are all relegated.

This lad is usually a kopite mouthpiece in the press.....reading through his tweets here though, he doesn’t seem anywhere near as positive as he has been recently. I hope he’s been given a bit of a tip off.

Either way, as I’ve posted a few times...I definitely think cancelling is the most realistic outcome at the end of all this.

Well he's been made to look very stupid by firstly saying nobody would cancel, then nobody would cancel and not do titles/relegation and then that if they did they won't be valid for Europe. He's having to backtrack.

I mean, good luck to UEFA telling LIverpool, Chelsea, Leicester and Ubited they won't be in the CL next season. I can't stand them but I'd even sign a petition to allow LIverpool to play in it. It would be utter madness.

My sense is they are getting more desperate. I'm not sure why if it's only 6 teams at the bottom. My suspicion is that there's a lot more to discuss, and given it doesn't look like we are coming out of lockdown tomorrow they are really no further forward. The UEFA deadline looms (decision by May 25th) and the fire is burning below them with League 2 & 1.

The thing thats most likely to get Liverpool the title now, is them sorting Leeds and West Brom out. If they can get them to agree not to be promoted, I think they will be handed the title. How far that is recognised by objective football community I don't know. However if they keep bullying the bottom 6, there's every chance it just ends up all having to be cancelled.

Geremay's R value has now gone past 1, so it's going to get a lot worse there. Can't see the Bundesliga resuming now.

That's really significant. I think Merkel had said no football if it goes up to 1.

The real worry is, our is already close to 1, what impact will loosening have? I honestly think, if the Bundesliga cancels the rest of the domino's fall quite quickly. Probably with no champions or relegation.

Wow its a global conspiracy now. Next they will be accusing that South Korean fella who recently went to 5 nightclubs, infected a load of people and got them all closed down for 30 days, of being a Watford fan. Charlie is, as you guessed it, a Liverpool fan

From the article

The objections have become so frequent — and the lack of alternatives so consistent — that some of their peers wonder if they are deliberately sabotaging the process, trying to run the clock down until May 25, UEFA’s cutoff point for leagues to define their futures. The lack of a resolution would force the Premier League season, alone in Europe, to be voided.

The sense of unity is breaking down, as a simmering, unspoken disagreement turns into a messy, public scrap. At the heart of it all, of course, is self-interest, which in this case is a synonym for money. The bottom six have made a simple calculation: Being in the Premier League next year is worth more than having to pay back broadcast income this season, because that load would be shared among all 20 clubs.
Where does that road lead? It is easy to be distracted by the short term: by the prospect of the season being voided, by the transfer market — largely funded by English money — grinding to a halt, by potential legal challenges against whatever decision is made.

But it is the long term that should be of more concern. In the future, it will be hard for the Premier League’s makeweights to demand the elite act in the collective interest when it comes to broadcast revenues, asking rivals to do as they say, not as they do. There has always been a schism between the league’s Big Six clubs and the rest. It has only hardened in recent weeks.

I'm sorry thats a disgraceful thread. Nobody demands the "elite" do anything. They take most of the money already. There is no league without the rest of the teams. Lets not make equivalence of wanting to take more resources, with wanting a fair crack at the survival.

As for the other points, there will be more legal challenges if it's not cancelled. The transfer markets down whatever happens. They should have been negotiating with TV weeks ago instead of going on this wild goose chase, encouraged by idiots like him. Theyve led us all down the garden path and now want to take none of the responsibility for their actions.

Fair to say Charlie's heads completely fell off and his missus is currently doing keepy uppies with it.

Lower division German team have all tested positive and now have to quarantine for 14 days....a whole 7 days before they’re supposed to be playing. This will be a complete mess.
