Right, so supermarket workers dont touch anything in the store that others might have? They dont have to pass people in narrow aisles?

They have gloves and hand sanitizer and the ability to not touch their faces, and like I say the footballers are touching, hands will be on another players face and breathing on each other. If supermarkets were like that they'd all be shut too.

I take your point about narrow aisles and sometimes it isn't comfortable but that's because you have gone inside the recommended 2 metre distance but likely you are still a metre away and not sitting on them after a slide tackle! I haven't been shopping since Wednesday but I presume everyone is now wearing face coverings in the shops further reducing the risk.

Life is a dangerous occupation. What else can I say. We're never gonna get life going again if people constantly live in a state of fear, always expecting the worst to happen. I'm not that bothered about the football, I wanna get back in the gym and the pub.

We all want to get back to normal but by going back to normal too quickly there is a fair chance the R will go up, the hospitals will be full and we'll be back on full lockdown. No good to anyone.

Sometimes slow and steady wins the race and you can't blame people who are told don't do this and don't do that, but step on a football pitch and it will all be ok not to worry about it.

So when should football start again? When should pubs reopen? When are people going to be able to start earning money again? If you expect to wait until theres a vaccine or a miniscule amount of people with it it could easily take years if ever.

I want to get back to normal as well mate. I'm not offering a detailed plan of how we're going to do that, and its hard, very hard, no-one knows. And I agree about the vaccine.
But its perfectly reasonable to argue that football isn't a priority now, for the reasons I listed. If the siuation hasn't changed come next season then they might have to just get on with it.

I don't mind Troy Deaney cos he likes to wind up the Nomads but he can talk rubbish.
"They can take all my money away, I don't care because I've been skint before."
He knows they can't take he's money away and that the very worst they MAY be able to do is cancel the rest of he's contract (though I doubt they could even do that?)

Poor Deaney, he will only have the multi millions he has already earned to live on!

Anyone whos been on away trips to Burnley will know that even the roughest areas of Liverpool are a relative paradise compared to the most dull old mill town ive seen.

That bit where the big tesco is and the bus stop, we park near there and walk to the ground under the railway bridge. Thats all there is! Its grim and 99 times out of 100 its raining too.

They've got some weird whistle bell thing at the top of a hill (I honestky can't remember what it's called but when the wind picks up it does a crap sound) and from there you can see what a stupendous crap hole it is. First time I saw Turf Moor I honestly thought it was an abandoned warehouse. Even the advertisements on the side of the stands look like they haven't been changed since the 1930's.

Theres an old guy who does security on my local coop. Hes stood in the doorway for months controlling the queues without a mask or gloves. No fuss from him at all. A lot of the footballers who are making their opinions known are just trying to jump on the pundit merry go round in my opinion.

What are his slide tackles like?
