If the PM on Sunday says no sports in groups until end of June as reported: surely that’s the final nail in the coffin?

If they organised a social distanced pitch & Toss tournament or suggested televised spot in the captain’s back gardens I honestly don’t think I’d be surprised

If this resulted in VAR being scrapped forever I wouldn't care how much of a farce the rest of this season is. It would be worth it.
I would be surprised if that actually happened, everyone knows they are defo doing it now acting as though it will make the season end faster

Sky pay in installments, they never pay upfront, the last payment for this year is due in August and it includes merit money for league placing.

Broadcasters dont have to ask for a refund, they just wont pay.
The PL have already released some of the league placing and appearance money. Sky pay for the rights, the PL decides how it’s apportioned.

I want footy back yesterday.

But I dont want this farce footy that will come back, not even a little bit.

Today was the first day since footy stopped that I've actually proper missed Everton.

Been on YouTube when not on here watching loads of matches (mainly matches where we were crap and loads where Cottee slotted).

The 1991-93 seasons just remind me of how crap we were but I don't know why, I just enjoyed those days as a 12-14 year old, picking up the odd boss win and always thinking we were about to turn a corner.

Such a shame that literally not one club will have the backbone to refuse to play again until there is a vaccine or until the situation in the UK has dramatically improved. That includes Everton by the way.

The problem with that is nobody knows when a vaccine is coming or if it ever will improve.

We have been "locked down" for 6 weeks now and 600+ are still dying, what if this is the new normal?

Backbone is 1 thing, going out of business is another.

Refuse to play and cease to exist seems to be the choice.

It's not though, is it? If Everton refuse to play the FA won't punish us or relegate us. Imagine the uproar across the country if they attempted to do that. I think any neutral fans would turn their backs on the game if that was even mooted. The FA are trying to scare clubs into playing under the risk of death to players or their families, it's sickening. Financially we're absolutely fine as well.
