Whites a good player, fair points on Chilwell and James, good players, when you think of some of the centre half’s they have had over the years, it’s been one of their historical strengths.

Yes, there's been some fantastic Engkand CBs. The rot set in when they told them all they had to emphasise playing over stopping.

I think Coady and Tarkowski do a better job than Stones and Maguire if brought and played. All they played were no mark teams and a French team with a big lad up front. ?‍♂️

Tbh I do think Southgate has gone some way to fixing the England psyche - at least they have been reliably qualifying and getting out the groups which is not a given eg Italy & Germany.

I don’t think the margins were that great in this game and France were hardly down to bare bones either. Is there still work to be done yes but I don’t think is unachievable.

I agree to an extent mate, England are in a high quality phase at the moment in comparison to other teams. Italy are actually a great example of the psyche, they don’t qualify, but in the last tournament are champions, with clear limits and not being a great team - they just believe they have a right to win it, it’s just part of their footballing psyche.

This a golden era for English football in the sense the majority of their players are competing in the highest quality league in the world, in top European Competition. I mean England were beaten by France tonight, but in a months time lads will be calling the league in France a farmers league, Spain a two horse race and Italy not what it was…..
