With the teams Morocco have already beaten, the French will hold no fear for them. The French will be scared to death of the Moroccans running through their pedestrian defence. Gave away two penalties against a slow England attack...

No, you'll be putting more pressure on the French defence, cos Grealish drives forward at every opportunity. You've got Rice to do the defensive midfield duties (which he did excellently). Henderson was so anonymous that he might as well as not been on the pitch...

You may be right. I'd always prefer to see a team going for it. But if the manager didn't play cautiously, our fairly poor defenders might get overrun and we'd lose 5-3 instead of 2-1.
I'd prefer to lose 5-3 than 2-1 personally but the manager would get just as much flak for being naive.

I think Southgate also should have put Phillips straight back in. Him and Rice were astounding in the Euros. Putting that rancid Kopite in was a major error.

Err, yes you do give everything, as did they. They were found lacking on that occaision. As were England tonight.
